Twice each year the Spencer Creek Grange offers scholarship awards for 4H and FFA members in two age groups: 5 to 12 years and 13 to 18 years. To qualify for this award program, applicants must be an active member of Lane County 4-H or Lane County FFA.
The Spencer Creek Grange 4-H/FFA Award Program is designed to support local youth in the Lane County and Spencer Creek area as they develop skills in agriculture, leadership, and community involvement. The program also helps support participants’ individual 4-H or FFA projects. This award reflects the Grange’s long-standing commitment to agriculture, education, and community service. Through the application and selection process, the Grange hopes to encourage youth to strengthen their leadership, writing, and presentation skills.
- The Spencer Creek Grange Executive Committee will review all submitted
applications. - The top two applicants will be selected by the committee.
- These applications will be presented to the Spencer Creek Grange
membership. - Final selection will be determined by a popular vote of the membership.
- Award amounts range from $75 to $600, depending on the content, complexity, creativity, and effort demonstrated in the application.
- Proposed award amounts will be finalized by a vote of the Grange membership.
- Award recipients will be invited to attend a Spencer Creek Grange monthly meeting for formal recognition.
- Applications and awards are offered on a semi-annual basis.
