Join us for our 5th Annual Harvest Fair at the Spencer Creek Grange on October 4th from 10am to 4pm. Our produce vendors will be offering honey, fruit, eggs, plant starts and a wide selection of veggies including melons, corn, summer & winter squashes (including pumpkins), tomatoes big and small, onions, potatoes, carrots, lettuce & salad mixes, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, parsnips, leeks, garlic & herbs. We’ll have pasture raised beef and our craft vendors will be offering pottery, handmade clothing woven from local alpaca and wool fiber, numerous items made from organic cotton & hemp, while food artisans will be offering homemade organic & vegan dessert treats.
Cider pressing will take place throughout the day. If you have apples growing in your backyard, bring them with you! About 15 pounds of apples produces a gallon of juice.
Entertainment this year will provided by Late for Dinner, a talented and lively group of acoustic musicians. We’ll also hear from three other local acoustic bands throughout the day.
This year we’ll have a Corn Holing competition! This old-time favorite beanbag-style toss game is open to kids, ages 2 through 99.
We’ll also be serving an amazing buffet lunch, including a medley of veggie dishes and salads prepared from garden-fresh produce. Desserts will include honey-walnut pie and wheat-free fresh apple/pear cobbler.
