The Buzz about Bees

Though we’ll not have a beekeeping presentation this year at the Grange, we hope to resume this informative, annual talk and slideshow next year (January of 2013). Below are some tips and advice for folks who are seeking more information and sources of local expertise for this fascinating hobby.

To begin keeping honey bees this year, we highly recommend attending the annual Lane County Beekeepers Association Bee School, taking place in March of 2012. Contact Ken Ograin to pre-register (class fills up QUICKLY).

Join LCBA (www.lcbaor.org) and attend monthly meetings, 7:30 p.m. the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held at: Trinity Methodist Church 440 Maxwell Rd Eugene, OR
